Former Planning and Monitoring Minister Paul Tiensten has been arrested at the Jackson's International Airport upon arrival from Australia. He has been a person of interest in the on-going investigation into Corruption and Mismanagement being carried out by Taskforce Sweep, a body comprising of Police, lawyers Auditors and experts from different Government Departments and set up by the National Executive Council at the recommendation of The National Anti-Corruption Alliance.
Mr. Tiensten is the Member for Pomio Open, a district which has found itself in the middle of the SABL controversy.
It is understood that Mr Tiensten is being questioned by the Fraud Squad.
